Nonprofit Retail Salvage

Every product deserves a second season

We buy what retailers would throw away. We resell it at fair prices. We donate the rest. Zero waste, zero dumpster diving, zero excuses.

The Problem

Retailers trash perfectly good products every season

After every holiday, every season change, every clearance cycle, big-box stores dump millions of pounds of unopened merchandise into dumpsters. Holiday decorations, summer clothes, back-to-school supplies. All of it, straight to the landfill. Meanwhile, people are literally diving into those dumpsters just to get by.

How It Works

We intercept waste before it becomes waste

01

Buy from retailers

We partner with stores to purchase their unsold seasonal inventory at a fair price. They recover costs instead of paying for disposal. Everyone wins.

02

Resell at our store

Quality items go on our shelves at affordable prices. Our community gets access to name-brand products at a fraction of retail. Revenue funds the mission.

03

Donate the rest

What we can't sell goes to Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and local charities. Nothing goes to the landfill. Every single product finds a home.

The Impact

Four problems, one solution

Retailers stop losing money

Instead of paying to haul products to the dump, stores sell to us at a reasonable price. They recover costs and get a tax benefit for working with a nonprofit.

Communities get affordable goods

Name-brand seasonal products at prices everyone can afford. Fort Worth families shouldn't have to choose between quality and cost.

Dumpster diving stops

When good products never hit the dumpster, nobody has to dig through one. We're solving the problem at the source, not after the fact.

Landfills get lighter

Every pallet we intercept is thousands of pounds of perfectly good product diverted from the landfill. Sustainability that actually works.

The stuff they throw away still has a season left in it

SecondSeason is a nonprofit on a mission to end retail waste in Fort Worth and beyond. Because no good product should end up in a landfill.
